I have lived all over the nation including Alaska, but have spent most of my life in El Dorado County and Folsom areas. I moved onto the south slope in El Dorado County about 15 years ago and helped build our home and create a master garden scenario on a mere 40 acres. I am passionate about gardening and the whole landscaping process, which I feel, is an extension of your living space brought outdoors. My minor in college was botany and landscape design, with a major in accounting. I was a landscape/design contractor for 20 years. I can remember early on my desire to be in the real estate field, way back in the early 70s, but my focus and love was for my children and to devote my energy and time to them. After leaving the west slope, life happens I started my real estate career. I have seen a lot of changes in a short 7 years in the industry. From the boom of the early century to the bust of 2005 and the bank owned market that followed. I have stayed with it and developed into a self called specialist in REO real estate. I have helped to sell several REO homes in the past two years. With most of the REO homes, the landscaping has been destroyed or was never much to begin with. I feel my experience helps me to show clients the beauty behind the weeds and what they can do with the home once it is theirs.
With my home up in Grizzly flat, before moving to Folsom, my pride was the diversity of my plantings, which mostly came from throw a ways, and new species. Growing my favorites from saplings producing enough fruits and veggies to feed the whole community of Grizzly Flats, I learned more hands on ways to make a garden work. At one time I had more than 200 species of dahlias, all from throw a ways.
My goal is to help my clients in whatever way possible. If I can use my knowledge to help make their home appreciate in value and sell more quickly when the time comes, I am happy to devote my time. Some of the simple things I have done at bank owned open houses have helped the property to sell more quickly and brought in more potential buyers. My Team and I work relentlessly to get the bank owned properties sold, mostly because I can’t stand an ugly yard in my neighborhood or any for that matter.
